ANDY
CONLAN is Ronny Roman, the dissillusioned magician for whom

sent in into the demented state we find him in. Hiding from
his grief behind the delusion that he has real magical powers,
he must struggle to resurrect his failed career before it's
gone forever. When he begins the road back, however, it leads
to somewhere he never could have expected.

GEORGIE
HILL is Sarah March, a nurse at the hospice to which Ronny Roman
is sent as a public relations exercise by his waste of space
manager, Trevor Norton. As soon as they meet, Sarah is convinced
there is more to Ronny than what appears at first and she's
determined to get behind his carefully created barrier. Forgetting
her own neuroses, she sets out to unlock the person that hides
underneath the magician.

JADE
COLLINS is Celestine Richards, the girl who lives in Ronny Roman's
building but is oblivious to this fact. When Ronny needs a new
assistant, he asks her, inspired by the superficial similarities
she has to his past love. She agrees, but only for her own mercenary
reasons, giving Ronny the opportunity he needs to once again
perform as an illusionist on stage, whether it's for his own
good or not.

The
late ALEXANDER ANDERSON is Henry Peters, the man Ronny Roman
meets while he's serving drinks to the patients at the hospice.
At the end of his life, Henry is heavily medicated and claims
he can see the ghosts of his friends and family - in particular
his wife who has already passed away. An unusual friendship
develops between the two, both locked into their own fantasy
worlds, that results in Ronny starting down a new path.

MICHAEL
HURST, ONZM, is Trevor Norton, Ronny Roman's manager. Completely
without a conscience, Trevor agrees to Ronny attempting the
dangerous escape act with the hope that he will fail so that
the disaster can be filmed. When Ronny introduces him to Celestine
as his new assistant, he has all new reasons to give Ronny the
chance to appear on stage again, as he takes a personal interest
in her.

MATTHEW
SUNDERLAND is Lemuel, Ronny Roman's seemingly couch ridden flatmate.
Constantly fixated on the television, he spends most of his
time watching The Dating Channel, a round the clock show that
portrays singles' profiles. As he says to Ronny "We're
all people, Ronny. We all need a tender companion". His
own search for the right girl mirrors Ronny's own search for
the perfect replacement to his former assistant.

LUCY
WIGMORE is Margot, Ronny Roman's eccentric next door neighbour.
One of the few people who will give the bizarre Ronny the time
of day, she has some strange delusions of her own. Desperate
to keep the insects from destroying her vegetable garden, she
claims that she can communicate with them on another level.
This makes her one of the few people with whom Ronny can relate
when he's explaining his strange mystical powers.
